You Must not Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road you are trudging seems an uphill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh

When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest, if you must but never quit!
Life is queer with it's twist and turns
As everyone of us sometimes learns
And many failures turns about
When we might have won, had we stuck it out?

Dont give up though the pace seems slow
You may succed with another blow
Success is failure turn inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt

And you never can tell how close you are
It maybe near when it seems so far
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seems worst that you must not quit!

While Papa is Away...By Ivan Dayle Rafer

I just want to share it here...A poem composed by my 7 year old son, grade 1 pupil at Bautista Elementary School in Labo Camarines Norte.
He composed this poem, and wins the first prize for their United Nations program in the School:)

While Papa is Away

Papa left us to work abroad
Mama is here to care for us
They decided to live away from each other
Because they want the best for us..

I know that thousands of children are like us
With mother or father laboring in foreign lands
We all feel sad but there seems no choice
We simply have to accept things the way they are..

Now that Papa is thousand of miles away from us
I cannot but call on you
So while he is away from us
You do the caring and the comforting..

As to mama, we will make life easier for her
We will follow as she wishes us to do
So that when papa finally comes home
We'll be happy again under one roof...

Class president, school representative/contestant for science and math quiz bee sa region 5, And he is the youngest ever to become officer of their school's student body...he became SBO councilor at the age of 5...and until now, he is still an SBO councilor...
